Diagnosing Faulty TIPM Relays: Symptoms & Solutions
The factory fuel pump relay, embedded deep within the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module), is subjected to 100% constant power load while driving, making it the most vulnerable failure point in the entire electrical architecture.

1. Critical Fuel Pump Relay Failure Symptoms
If your vehicle exhibits any of the following behaviors, the internal fuel pump relay is failing:

The "Crank, No Start" Scenario (70% of Cases): The vehicle acts as if it is completely out of gas. It will crank continuously but fail to fire up. This issue often starts intermittently—particularly during cold morning starts—and progressively worsens until the vehicle refuses to start entirely.

Parasitic Battery Drain (25% of Cases): The relay gets physically stuck in the "Closed/ON" position, forcing the fuel pump to run non-stop even hours after the ignition is turned off. If you walk to the rear of your turned-off vehicle and hear a faint humming sound, your battery is being actively drained.

⚠️ CRITICAL NOTE: If you press the start button or turn the key and absolutely nothing happens (the starter motor does not rotate the engine at all), your issue lies outside the fuel pump circuit (e.g., starter, battery, or ignition switch). 2. Secondary TIPM Relay Failures (Wipers, Door Locks, Horns, etc.)
Modern Mopar platforms (especially 2007+ Jeep Wrangler architectures) utilize compact internal Double Relays (two relays housed in one micro-enclosure) to control cabin electronics. While cycled less frequently than the fuel pump, these relays share the same architectural flaw: they freeze up or drop power entirely, often taking down two separate factory features simultaneously.
