Why “Saturn 3.6L” Is Not a Complete Fitment
The current Recontrol-X catalog lists the 3.6L V6 across three different Saturn model families:
Aura XR
Outlook XE / XR
VUE XR / Red Line
But the published model years and model variants are different.
That means a search such as:
“Saturn 3.6L AFM disabler”
does not provide enough information to select the correct application.
The useful compatibility check is:
Year → Model → Trim / Variant → Engine
This is especially important on Saturn because the trim or variant can be part of the published fitment itself.
For example, current Recontrol-X data specifies Aura XR, not every Aura, and VUE XR / Red Line, not every VUE.
