Honda Pilot VCM Control with Four Selectable Resistance Settings
The Recontrol-X RC-VCM-01-04 VCM Disabler Harness is supplied for 2009-2026 Honda Pilot applications. It installs inline at the ECT1 coolant-temperature sensor connection and includes four manually selectable resistance settings:
68Ω / 82Ω / 100Ω / 120Ω
The supplied instructions recommend beginning with 82Ω and adjusting when needed according to operating conditions.
Honda Pilot Has a Long History of VCM
Honda clearly documents Variable Cylinder Management throughout the Pilot generations covered by the supplier range.
For the 2009 Pilot, Honda describes a VCM system capable of operating on six, four or three cylinders, depending on engine load.
The redesigned 2016 Pilot continued with a V6 using VCM cylinder-deactivation technology.
