2019-2020 Hyundai Santa Fe auto start stop eliminator with 5.7-inch ISG memory harness. Skip repeated ISG OFF presses while retaining factory control.
Description
2019-2020 Hyundai Santa Fe ISG Auto Stop Eliminator
Hyundai refers to its automatic engine-stop feature as Idle Stop and Go, or ISG. When operating conditions are satisfied, ISG can automatically stop the engine while the Santa Fe is stationary and restart it when driving resumes. Hyundai's ISG system also provides a dedicated ISG OFF control for drivers who want the function switched off.
For owners who regularly prefer ISG off, this Recontrol-X module is designed to remove the repeated startup routine.
Automatically Applies the Preferred OFF State
The module works with the existing factory ISG switch circuit rather than replacing the vehicle's control system.
Once installed, it is designed to:
- Automatically apply the preferred ISG OFF state
- Reduce repeated ISG OFF button presses
- Retain normal use of the factory button
- Avoid permanent ECU programming
- Avoid occupying the OBD-II port
- Allow the original wiring connection to be restored
The important point is convenience: this is not intended to remove the customer's ability to control ISG.
5.7-Inch Inline Switch Harness
The hardware uses a compact approximately 5.7-inch harness with two matching multi-pin connectors and an inline electronic module.
Its installation architecture is:
Vehicle Wiring → Memory Module → Factory ISG Switch
Established 2019-2020 Santa Fe eliminators also install directly on the backside of the Auto Start-Stop switch assembly rather than requiring a diagnostic-port device.
That makes this product fundamentally different from OBD-II, gateway-module and fuse-tap style eliminators used on some other vehicles.
Factory ISG Button Remains Available
This Santa Fe application should not be described as a permanent electronic deletion.
If the driver wants ISG enabled for a particular drive, the factory control remains available. This behavior is also documented by established Santa Fe-specific eliminators for these model years.
Do Not Substitute a Palisade or Later Santa Fe Harness
Although Hyundai uses the same ISG terminology across several vehicles, that does not mean their connector architecture is identical.
Current product documentation specifically distinguishes 2019-2020 Santa Fe from the Palisade application.
The later 2021-2023 Santa Fe in your catalog also uses a separate product, so customers should select by exact model year rather than appearance alone.
Normal ISG Conditions Still Apply
ISG does not necessarily shut the engine off at every stop. Hyundai considers factors such as battery charge, engine temperature, climate demand, door/hood status and other operating conditions before Auto Stop is allowed.
The eliminator changes the preferred system state; it does not override Hyundai's factory operating logic.

S&Q
Does this fit both 2019 and 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe?
Yes, those are the listed model years for this product. Before ordering, confirm that your Santa Fe has the factory ISG OFF / Auto Start-Stop control and that the connector matches the product photos.
Where does the module install?
It installs inline at the backside of the factory Auto Start-Stop / ISG switch assembly. The original connector is unplugged and the module is inserted between the vehicle wiring and switch.
Can I still turn ISG back on when I want to use it?
Can I still turn ISG back on when I want to use it?
Can I use the same module on a Hyundai Palisade?
No assumption should be made. Santa Fe and Palisade use separate vehicle-specific eliminator applications even though both systems are called ISG.
