2021-2026 Chevrolet Tahoe Auto Start Stop Eliminator | Plug & Play
Description
2021-2026 Chevrolet Tahoe Auto Start Stop Eliminator
The Chevrolet Tahoe's factory Stop/Start system may shut the engine off when the vehicle is fully stopped and automatically restart it when the driver releases the brake or presses the accelerator. Chevrolet also specifies that Auto Stop/Start is enabled again each time the vehicle is started, meaning drivers who prefer it off may have to disable it again on every trip.
The Recontrol-X Auto Start Stop Eliminator is designed for Tahoe owners who want Auto Stop OFF by default without repeatedly pressing the factory disable button every time they drive.
Set It Once — Stop Repeating the Same Button Press
Keeps unwanted Auto Stop behavior off by default: Designed to eliminate the repetitive task of disabling Stop/Start after each vehicle restart.
Preserves the original vehicle wiring: The module connects inline using the existing BCM connector rather than requiring permanent wire modification.
Removable design: If you want to restore the original connection, disconnect the eliminator and reconnect the factory plug.
This device is intended to manage normal factory Stop/Start behavior. It is not a repair device for an existing battery problem, starter fault, electrical malfunction, warning light, or abnormal engine-stalling condition.
Driver-Side BCM Plug-In Installation
Unlike hood-latch style eliminators used on some other vehicles, this Tahoe application installs inside the cabin at the K9 Body Control Module.
Remove the lower instrument panel trim on the driver's side to access the BCM connector bank.
Locate the K9 Body Control Module and identify the correct factory connection.
Disconnect the dark blue connector and install the Recontrol-X harness inline.
Make sure the connector locks are completely seated before reinstalling the lower trim panel.
Important Connector Identification
Use the dark blue BCM connector. Do not connect the harness to the nearby light blue connector.
The supplied installation image specifically distinguishes these two connectors because their colors can appear similar when viewed under the dashboard. Confirm the correct position and connector color before plugging in the harness.
No factory wire cutting
No wire splicing
No ECU reflash
No OBD-II programming procedure
The physical installation uses an inline factory-style harness connection.

What to Check Before Ordering
Confirm your vehicle is a 2021-2026 Chevrolet Tahoe.
Confirm the vehicle is equipped with the factory Auto Stop/Start system and disable control.
Compare the driver-side BCM connector with the installation photo.
Make sure you can identify the dark blue connector separately from the light blue connector.
A few minutes spent verifying the connection before purchase can prevent ordering the wrong Auto Stop Eliminator or attempting installation at the wrong BCM port.

S&Q
Does this Auto Start Stop Eliminator fit my Chevrolet Tahoe?
This product is designed for 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe models. Before ordering, compare the driver-side BCM connector shown in the installation image with the connector in your vehicle, especially if previous electrical work has been performed.
Will I still have to press the Auto Stop Off button every time I start my Tahoe?
The eliminator is designed to keep the unwanted Auto Stop setting off by default, so you do not have to repeat the factory Auto Stop Off button press every time you start the vehicle.
Where does the Tahoe Auto Stop Eliminator install?
Installation is behind the driver-side lower instrument panel at the K9 Body Control Module (BCM). The harness connects inline with the dark blue BCM connector. Do not install it into the nearby light blue connector.
Does installation require cutting wires or programming the vehicle?
No wire cutting or splicing is required. The eliminator plugs inline with the existing factory connector, and the supplied installation process does not require an ECU reflash or OBD-II programming procedure.
Can I remove the eliminator and return my Tahoe to the original setup?
Yes. The module uses an inline connector design rather than permanent wiring modifications. Remove the eliminator and reconnect the original factory BCM connector to restore the original connection.
