GMC TPMS Fitment Guide — Diagnose the Warning Before Choosing the Module
A GMC tire-pressure warning does not always mean the same thing.
GMC vehicles can distinguish between an actual low-pressure condition and a TPMS system malfunction. A low-pressure warning means the affected tire pressure should be checked and corrected. A Service Tire Monitor System message, on supported GMC vehicles, indicates that part of the TPMS is not operating properly.
That difference matters because a TPMS reset, sensor replacement and sensor emulator solve different problems.

Why “GMC Sierra” or “GMC Yukon” Alone Is Not Enough
GMC model families contain applications that should not automatically be treated as interchangeable.
For example, current Recontrol-X data separately publishes Sierra, Sierra 1500 and Sierra 3500 HD applications. The Yukon family is also separated into Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon XL 1500 and Yukon XL 2500, with different published year ranges.
That means a customer should not choose an emulator simply because another Sierra or Yukon uses a similar-looking TPMS module.

Reset, Relearn, Sensor Replacement and Emulator Are Different Solutions
A TPMS reset or relearn allows the vehicle to recognize working sensor IDs after certain tire rotations, wheel changes or sensor replacements.
A replacement TPMS sensor restores pressure-monitoring hardware when a sensor has failed.
A TPMS delete / sensor emulator module is a different type of product. It should not be treated as a replacement tire-pressure sensor or a universal repair for every Service Tire Monitor System message.
Before ordering an emulator, identify why the TPMS warning is present and confirm that your vehicle matches a published Recontrol-X application.
Do Not Extend Published Fitment
If another website lists a wider GMC year range, that does not automatically expand Recontrol-X compatibility.
Do not assume that an adjacent model year, another Sierra configuration or another Yukon version will work simply because the vehicle shares the GMC badge.
