2020-2025 Hyundai Palisade ISG Auto Stop Eliminator | Memory Harness
Description
2020-2025 Hyundai Palisade ISG Auto Stop Eliminator
Hyundai refers to the Palisade's automatic engine-stop feature as Idle Stop and Go, or ISG.
ISG can automatically stop the engine at qualifying traffic stops and restart it when the vehicle is ready to move. Hyundai explains that system operation depends on several prerequisites and that the ISG OFF button is used when the driver wants to switch the system off.
For drivers who routinely prefer ISG disabled, the Recontrol-X module is designed to remove the repetitive button press from normal startup.
Automatically Applies the ISG OFF State
Your product materials specifically describe the operating behavior as:
- Auto Start/Stop automatically disabled after installation.
- Factory Auto OFF button can still be pressed manually when the driver wants the feature enabled.
That means the product should be positioned as a convenience module, not as a permanent deletion of the vehicle's factory system.
5.7-Inch Inline Switch Harness
This version uses a compact multi-pin harness that connects directly at the factory ISG switch assembly.
The connection concept is:
Vehicle Wiring → Recontrol-X Module → Factory ISG OFF Switch
Established 2020-2025 Palisade-specific products likewise install on the backside of the Auto Start-Stop switch assembly, retain original button functionality and can be removed to return the ISG system to stock behavior.
This distinguishes the product from:
- OBD-II dongles
- Gateway modules
- Fuse-tap systems
- ECU programming solutions
Factory ISG Control Remains Available
Installing the module does not mean the driver permanently loses ISG.
The original Hyundai button remains the normal manual control.
That is especially important because Hyundai's ISG system only operates when its required conditions are satisfied. Battery charge, climate demand, engine temperature and other vehicle conditions can temporarily prevent Auto Stop from occurring.
2020-2025 and 2026 Are Separate Product Applications
This page should make the model-year boundary obvious.
The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is an all-new generation, with a new vehicle architecture and new powertrain lineup.
Current Palisade eliminator suppliers likewise list:
2020-2025 Palisade
and
2026 Palisade
as separate products.
Therefore the older module should not be advertised for the 2026 vehicle.
Palisade and Santa Fe Are Not Interchangeable
Another useful customer warning is that Palisade and Santa Fe products should not be selected merely because both use Hyundai ISG.
A current Palisade-specific supplier explicitly identifies Santa Fe as requiring a different device.
That supports keeping the Palisade and Santa Fe PDPs completely separated.
Not a Repair for an ISG Fault
Hyundai documents that a yellow Auto Stop indicator or other ISG malfunction condition may require vehicle inspection.
This module is intended for a normally operating ISG system where the driver simply wants a different startup preference.

S&Q
Will this fit a 2026 Hyundai Palisade?
No 2026 fitment is listed for this version. Hyundai redesigned the Palisade for 2026, and current eliminator applications treat the 2026 vehicle separately from 2020-2025 models.
Where does the module install?
It installs inline at the backside of the factory ISG / Auto Start-Stop switch assembly, between the original vehicle wiring and factory switch.
Can I still use the original ISG OFF button?
The product materials specifically show that the factory Auto OFF button can still be used manually when you want the system enabled again.
Why doesn't ISG shut the engine off at every stop?
Hyundai requires several operating conditions before Auto Stop is allowed, including sufficient battery charge, suitable engine and outside temperature, climate-control conditions and other vehicle inputs.
Can I use the same harness on a Hyundai Santa Fe?
Do not assume so. Palisade-specific product documentation identifies Santa Fe as requiring a different device despite both vehicles using Hyundai's ISG system.
