Cadillac AFM/DFM Fitment Guide — Built From Recontrol-X Application Data
Choosing a Cadillac AFM/DFM disabler should begin with the vehicle's published application data—not with engine displacement, appearance or model family alone.
The current Recontrol-X Cadillac catalog contains dedicated fitment for selected ATS, CT6, CTS, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, SRX, XT5, STS and XTS applications.
Each product is mapped to specific Year + Model + Engine combinations. If your complete combination is not included in the published fitment, compatibility should not be assumed.

Why Engine Size Alone Cannot Identify the Correct Cadillac Disabler
The Recontrol-X catalog itself shows why searching only by displacement can lead to the wrong product.
For example, 3.6L V6 applications appear across ATS, CT6, CTS, SRX, XT5, STS and XTS—but those applications do not share the same published model-year boundaries.
The same issue appears with 6.2L V8 applications. Recontrol-X lists 6.2L fitment across CTS and multiple Escalade variants, but the supported year ranges differ by model.
That means:
“Cadillac 3.6L” is not a complete fitment.
and:
“Cadillac 6.2L” is not a complete fitment.
The useful compatibility combination is:
Year + Model + Engine
—not displacement by itself.
How to Use Search by Vehicle
Use the vehicle selector above before opening a product.
Step 1 — Select Cadillac
Start with the vehicle make.
Step 2 — Select the exact model
ATS, CTS and XTS may share an engine displacement in the published catalog, but they are different vehicle applications.
Step 3 — Match the model year
Do not extend a listed year range simply because the next model year looks similar.
Step 4 — Match the engine
Use the complete engine information shown in the product fitment.
Step 5 — Check the individual product page
Any product-specific compatibility or installation note should be reviewed before ordering.
If the exact Year + Model + Engine combination is not listed, do not substitute a “close” application.
